<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high quality glass plate by avoiding the problem that the generation of warp becomes prominent and it becomes difficult to improve productivity accompanied by the thinning and upsizing of the glass plate. <P>SOLUTION: The glass plate 1 has unpolished surfaces, a thickness of≤0.7 mm, such a rectangular shape that the length of the short side is≥1,000 mm and the length of the long side is≥1,200 mm, and a warpage of≤0.03%. In a method for forming the glass plate 1, cooling rollers 5 which hold both end parts in the width direction of a glass plate G when the viscosity of the both end parts is 10<SP>5.2</SP>-10<SP>8.6</SP>dPa s is provided between a formed article 3 having a wedge-shape cross section and a drawing rollers 4.
