摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compatibly materialize the reduction of HC and NOx emission at a non-active time of a catalyst and the prevention of deterioration of drivability satisfying torque demands of an occupant in a dual fuel engine 1 capable of driving with selectively changing used fuel between hydrogen and gasoline. SOLUTION: Hydrogen is used as fuel and air fuel ratio control is executed with establishing target air fuel ratio to air fuel ratio making NOx emission quantity close to zero when the catalyst 31 is non-active. A change over control means 6 changing over used fuel from hydrogen to gasoline when demand torque of the occupant exceeds predetermined first designated value under a non-activate condition of the catalyst 31.
