The column has a housing (11) arranged on a bottom plate (13), and electrically operated device provided for transmission of information and comprising an interface. A microphone (20) and a loudspeaker are provided in a side surface of the housing. A storage battery (30) and a solar plant (31) are integrated into the column for operating the column in an energy-self sustained manner, where the communication of the column with an external centre takes place by using a radio device that is provided with an antenna.
