The device has a sensor (S1) detecting condition of one of parts e.g. backrest (1), in a backrest usage position of a rotary latch (2), a clamp (3) and a bolt (4). A magnetic field-sensitive sensor (S2) that is sensitive on the inclination of the backrest suppresses a sensor signal of the sensor (S1) when the backrest has received a turned down position. A magnet (8) is swivelably arranged at an end of a pendulum (7) in the backrest. The pendulum is supported in a damped manner.
