<p>In the present invention, there is disclosed a motor-or manually-driven sectional gate comprising at least one upper closing element (5B) and one lower closing element (5A) to close the gate opening (3) and a weight-counterbalancing device (50, 50') in which the adjacent closing elements (5A, 5B) are coupled to each another in articulated manner. Both the closing elements (5A, 5B) have a first and a second opposite side and one or more guides (6) such as guide rollers (6A, 6B) guided in single-track guide rails (7). Each guide rail (7) has a vertical section (7A) connected with a curved portion (7C) and a horizontal section (7B). The weight-counterbalancing device (50, 50') is provided with a traction mechanism (51, 51'), which engages at one end with one, particularly the lower closing element (5A), and at the other end directly or indirectly with a counterweight, which allows the lower closing element (5A) to move, at least partially, into the horizontal section (7B). The sectional gate according to the present invention also comprises a pivoted lever (8) enabling angular displacement of the upper closing element (5B) from the gate open position into the gate closed position and vice versa to the gate open position.</p> |
