<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can increase the efficiency of exhaust of heat by efficiently radiating and shielding heat, generated from a control board, through the active use of a sent air flow without upsizing a shield box itself. <P>SOLUTION: This image forming apparatus comprises: the shield box 22 which is mounted on a main body frame with an arranged fan and which has a vent hole for cooling a component, mounted on the internally arranged control board 20, by introducing a wind from the fan is drilled; and a side cover 11 which covers a surface positioned on the other side of the surface, to be mounted on the main body frame, of the shield box, and which is provided with a slit 111 for exhausting cooling air, passing through the shield box, to the outside. A step part 253, which is provided in such a manner as to protrude to the side of the side cover 11, is provided on the side of an intermediate wall 240 of a lid 25, so that the cooling air, which is passed to an upper block through a void between the step part and a side cover-side wall surface of a lower block 222, can be led out to a lower block-side wall surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
