<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save energy in a data transfer device serving as an interface ready for an external device such as a PC connected in case of necessity. <P>SOLUTION: The interface ASIC 200 in this image formation device is provided with a USB block 201 serving as a data transfer interface with the external device, an IEEE 1284 block 202, a MAC block 203 serving as an interface with a network, a control part 24, an arbiter 205, a system interface 206, a PCI 207, and various kinds of DMAC 211-216. When the external device is not connected, the USB block 201, which is constructed to be capable of recognizing connection with the external device, controls a PHY in its own block to a reset condition and stops action of a PLL included in the PHY. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
