An enclosure temperature detection unit 78 detects the temperature of an enclosure of a camera 10. A focus peak detection unit 80 detects a focus peak position by the CPU 10. A focus peak correction unit 82 corrects the focus peak position (detected value). The focus peak detection unit 80 outputs the corrected focus peak position to the CPU 10.
