PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dark shading elimination device the memory capacity of which required for eliminating a dark shading component can be reduced and to provide an imaging apparatus. SOLUTION: The elimination device includes: a storage means 11 for storing coefficients "a" to "d" of a function for denoting the characteristic of the dark shading component included in an output of an imaging device 22; calculation means 12, 13 for calculating the dark shading component in response to a photographing condition according to the function above, on the basis of the condition of photographing using the imaging device and the coefficients stored in the storage means; and a subtraction means 14 for subtracting a result of the calculation by the calculation means from an output obtained by exposing the imaging device under the photographing condition.
