PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an aluminum alloy sheet for can barrel in which bottom wrinkle properties are improved without deteriorating characteristics such as ironing formability, flange formability and can body strength. SOLUTION: The aluminum alloy sheet is characterized in that, with respect to a final stock sheet which has a composition containing 0.8 to 1.5% Mg, 0.7 to 1.5% Mn, 0.05 to 0.25% Cu, 0.1 to 0.4% Si and 0.2 to 0.6% Fe, further containing 0.005 to 0.05% Ti and 0.0001 to 0.001% B and having the balance Al with inevitable impurities, the average of r-value is≥0.75 and the in-plane anisotropyΔr of r-value ranges from -0.15 to +0.05 and, further, elongation is≥5%. As the manufacturing method, an alloy ingot having the above composition is subjected to homogenizing treatment and then to hot roughing and hot finish rolling under respectively specified conditions to form a recrystallized structure after completion of hot rolling, and then, final cold rolling at specific rolling reduction is carried out without applying process annealing.
