<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set an optimum value of an output amplitude and emphasis of a transmitter by automatic adjustment without requiring artificial actual-equipment evaluation. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission control unit 34 of a device 10 transmits sample data while executing the setting change of the output amplitude and emphasis of the transmitter 18 in a prescribed range. A reception processor 48 of a device 12 generates an eye diagram from the sample data received with a receiver 22, and transmits receivable phase range data after detecting them from the eye diagram. An optimization processor 36 of the device 10 writes the phase range data transmitted from the device 12 into a table 32 corresponding to the output amplitude and emphasis subjected to the setting change, and also, sets the optimum value of the output amplitude and emphasis into the transmitter 18 of the device 10 after deciding the optimum value from the table 32 obtained when the setting change in the prescribed range is finished. Subsequently, the device 12 serves as the transmission side and sets the optimum value of the output amplitude and emphasis of the transmitter 18 after deciding the optimum value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
