<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of removing a foreign matter adhering onto the surface of an imaging section appropriately according to environment around the imaging section, and to provide a method of controlling the imaging apparatus, and a program. <P>SOLUTION: A digital camera 100 comprises a camera body 2, a moisture sensor 15, a control unit 17, a drive circuit 13, a vibrator 12, and a glass plate 11. The moisture sensor 15 detects moisture in the camera body 2. The control unit 17 sets oscillation amplitude excited by the vibrator 12 according to the moisture in the camera body 2, and controls the drive circuit 13 for oscillating the vibrator 12 with the set oscillation amplitude for prescribed time, thus removing the foreign matter adhering onto the surface of the glass plate 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
