摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electrolyte membrane-electrode assembly useful as a constituting material of a fuel cell, having high proton conductivity, having high methanol shut off property, and displaying high power generation performance and high durability when applied to the fuel cell, to provide the manufacturing method of the polymer electrolyte membrane-electrode assembly, and to provide the fuel cell using the polymer electrolyte membrane-electrode assembly in a very simple method. <P>SOLUTION: The membrane-electrode assembly is formed in such a way that (A) a polymer membrane containing a polymer capable of introducing a proton conductive group and/or a polymer having a proton conductive group and (B) an electrode catalyst layer containing at least catalyst carrying carbon and binder resin are melt-bonded so that (A) is interposed by (B) to form a precursor of the membrane-electrode assembly, and the proton conductive group is introduced in the precursor of the membrane-electrode assembly. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p>
