<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus capable of rapidly comparing pieces of gene expression profile data. <P>SOLUTION: A gene expression profile comparison apparatus 10 is equipped with a CPU14 for computing a correlation between a question profile input in an input section 12 and a gene expression profile stored in a gene expression profile DB16. The CPU14 generates first constitutive gene sequence data for which genes constituting the platform of a gene expression profile are stored in a memory 18 according to their identification numbers, and generates second constitutive gene sequence data for which genes constituting the question profile are stored in the memory 18 according to their identification numbers. The CPU14 reads out the identification numbers of the genes from the beginning of the first constitutive gene sequence data in order and reads out identification numbers of the genes from the beginning of the second constitutive gene sequence data in order, extracts a common gene by comparing the read identification numbers of genes, and computes a correlation by comparing the expression level of the extracted common genes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
