PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a storing method of a silver oxide battery in which reduction of battery capacity at the time of storing can be suppressed, and in which appropriate discharge current can be obtained even when using the silver oxide battery in which reactivity of the battery is improved for coping with heavy load. SOLUTION: The silver oxide battery 1 for the heavy load contains silver oxide as a positive electrode active material, the battery capacity when stored for 240 hours after manufacturing the battery under a temperature condition of 20°C is reduced to 85% or lower of the battery capacity just after the manufacturing. The silver oxide battery 1 is cooled and stored at 5°C or less so as not to reduce the current capacity excessively even in a long-term storage. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
