PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact heating and carrying unit which can uniformly heat the whole original plate for a printing plate during the heating of it and which can perform efficient treatment, and a plate making apparatus using the heating and carrying unit. SOLUTION: This heating and carrying unit comprises: a carrying part for carrying a sheet, a heating part which is arranged in a position to face the front side of the sheet for being carried by the carrying part; and a heating-part shifting means for shifting the heating part depending on the carrying of the sheet.
