PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct-current stabilized power supply that enables reduction of power consumption and an electrical apparatus using the power supply. SOLUTION: The direct-current stabilized power supply 3a includes a base current generation unit X1 for generating the base current of a transistor N11. The base current generation unit is so constructed that the following is implemented: it generates the base current from input voltage Vin until output voltage Vout reaches a predetermined threshold value; after the output voltage Vout reaches the predetermined threshold value, it generates the base current from the output voltage Vout.
