PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a user to correctly understand the environmental load of a product by displaying the total life cycle of electronic equipment or the environmental load until a time point of purchase. SOLUTION: A CPU 130 calculates an total environmental load ETover the total life cycle of a digital camera 10 per manufacturing lot including this digital camera 10 and converts the load into CO2emission amount, and causes an LCD 22 to display the converted amount for the user. The total environmental load ETis calculated by adding a discard environmental load ERJgenerated in discarding the digital camera 10 to a production environmental load EPRgenerated in producing the digital camera 10, a distribution environmental load EPDgenerated in transferring the digital camera 10 from a manufacturing factory to the user, and a usage environmental load EUSgenerated in using the digital camera 10.
