PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device for efficiently cleaning paper powder and a wax filmed on a roller (belt) that is superior in durability in a simple configuration. SOLUTION: In the fixing device for pressure-contacting a fixing roller 1 and a pressure roller 4, both the rollers are set to have different diameters and gear-connected, and the gear system is a one-way gear (fixing one-way gear 13) where one gear (pressure drive gear 12) can be normally and reversely rotated, and the other gear is corotated with the rollers during normal rotation in fixing operation and is gear-driven in reverse rotation.
