PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera housing suitable for the housing of a camera equipped with a liquid crystal monitor with a touch panel and preventing the damage of the touch panel. SOLUTION: The camera housing 1 for housing the camera 9 equipped with a display part 8 with the touch panels 5, 6 and 7 has: external operation parts 13, 14 and 15 provided on the outside of the housing 1; a contact member 26 for operating the touch panel 6 while coming into contact with the touch panel 6 and provided on the inside of the housing 1; and an elastic member 24 arranged between the external operation part 14 and the contact member 26 and transmitting pressing force applied to the external operation part 14 to the contact member 26. The elastic member 24 restricts the pressing force transmitted to the contact member 26 in order to prevent the touch panel 6 from being damaged by the contact member 26. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
