PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for producing polymerized toner which has excellent storage stability, neither emits an offensive odor nor deteriorates the surrounding atmosphere when used in printing, and has excellent durability when used in long-term printing under high-temperature high-humidity conditions. SOLUTION: The process for producing the polymerization toner comprising colored polymer particles comprises polymerizing a polymerizable monomer composition comprising a polymerizable monomer and a colorant in an aqueous dispersion medium in the presence of a polymerization initiator, wherein the polymerization initiator is an organic peroxide having a molecular weight of≤205 and a purity of≥90%.
