PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture continuously a pair of storage phosphor plates at least to the number of five, in a deposition process by the same single deposition device. SOLUTION: Before start of each deposition, the refractory material surface is brought into contact with a liquefied raw material of a combination of a matrix component and an activation agent component, a phosphor precursor component and a matrix, or an activation agent and a precursor component in a crucible unit. The deviation of speed from one plate to another plate in the pair of storage phosphor plates is adjusted to be below 15%. Before start of deposition in each manufacture of the pair of the plates, refractory particles selected from a group comprising powder, crystal particles, amorphous particles, a spherical body, a bar, a stick, an ingot and a wound body, or a combination thereof are added into the crucible unit, to thereby recover the refractory surface.
