PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attachment to be installed on a confocal endoscope, provided with a member for scanning a confocal point and a member for normal observation to be changeable between normal observation and confocal point observation, in which a tomographic image of a tissue sliced along a prescribed plane can be obtained even in a case of a confocal point observation to a part that is greatly pulsated due to pulsation of an upper digestive canal or the like. SOLUTION: This attachment for an endoscope comprises a tubular member connected to a channel in the confocal endoscope. As the attachment is installed on a tip of an inert tube of the confocal endoscope, the tip of the tubular member is positioned roughly on the same plane with a tip part of a projected part. The attachment also comprises a plate member to cover the tip part of the projected part of the confocal endoscope.
