RODENT TRAP

An animal trap which includes: - a floor plate; - at least three electrodes which are spaced from each other physically and insulated from each other electrically; - a cover for the floor plate such that the floor plate and the cover together form an enclosure; - means to attract an animal onto the floor plate within the enclosure; - means to rotate the floor plate relative to the cover; - means for sensing the presence of an animal within the enclosure and in contact with a selected electrode; - means for applying an electrical potential difference of sufficient strength to kill the animal, between said selected electrode and the electrode furthest from said selected electrode, and for simultaneously applying an electrical potential difference between said selected electrode and the or an other electrode, when said sensing means senses an animal in contact with said selected electrode.
