PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading apparatus capable of optionally setting a printing position, and to provide a driver for the image reading apparatus. SOLUTION: A user selects a "print setting" button on a TWAIN driver 103, thereby displaying a print setting screen 200. The end user unit 31 of the image processing apparatus 100 designates the lengths (distances) from the front and rear ends of an original, and from a datum level as a reference of print position used for printing on the original.
