PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a readily stirred and mixed treating agent for textile products having excellent storage stability and affording effects expected for silicones such as smoothness and lubricity to a satisfiable extent. SOLUTION: The method for producing the treating agent for the textile products comprises a step of mixing a silicone emulsion (A) containing a silicone compound (a1), a compound (a2) having a 1,2-benzisothiazoline skeleton in the molecule, a surfactant (a3) and water with a composition (B) containing a specific tertiary amine or an acid salt thereof or a quaternized substance (b1) thereof.
