The door has a hollow space that is formed by a door support structure and a door interior trim panel (10) facing an adjacent automobile seat. An impact unit is arranged in the inner side of the hollow space for influencing the impact of the door on a seat passenger, where the impact unit is formed in a rigidly deformable manner, during the impact of the door on the passenger. The trim panel has an impact surface (24) in a lower area of the door and an armrest (18) that is provided in an area of the impact surface and flexibly formed in a transverse direction of the door.
