<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To retrieve an image wherein a photographic subject has a desired level in a picture, an image wherein the photographic subject has a desired direction and size in a picture, or the like from recorded images. <P>SOLUTION: In this image retrieval device, the photographic subject is attached with a wireless tag for uniquely identifying the photographic subject, and is photographed by an imaging device, and an image thereof and tag information of the wireless tag are associated and are stored in an image storage part 75a (S10). A photographic subject retrieval part 72a reads the tag information showing the photographic subject from a photographic subject information storage part 75b, and extracts images (a first image group) associated with the tag information among an image group stored in the image storage part 75a (S12). A face recognition/comparison part 72b compares a previously stored apparent characteristic image of the photographic subject, e.g. a face image, and the image of the first image group, and extracts the image including the apparent characteristic image (S13). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
