PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mask for laser thermal transfer capable of improving adhesive force between a receptor substrate and a transfer layer in a part of a pixel part of the receptor substrate and of improving an edge open defect of an organic film; and to provide a method of manufacturing an organic electroluminescent device using it. SOLUTION: The mask 130 is provided for laser thermal transfer including a first pattern part 20 and a second pattern part 30 formed in a part including a top within at least one side of the first pattern part, and characterized in that the second pattern part has an area of 8 to 8,500μm<SP>2</SP>. By such a structure, adhesive force between a substrate and a transfer layer can be improved in a part of a pixel part of the substrate and an edge open defect of an organic film can be improved.
