<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery providing the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery capable of decreasing an internal resistance value and suppressing increase in internal resistance value even when charge discharge cycles are repeated. <P>SOLUTION: The positive active material for the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery is a composite oxide containing M<SP>1</SP>and M<SP>2</SP>(M<SP>1</SP>is at least one kind of element selected from a group comprising Li, Na, and K, and M<SP>2</SP>is at least one kind of element selected from the group comprising Ni, Mn, Co, Fe, Ti, V and Cr), an average value (DP) of primary particle diameters of the composite oxide is present in a range of 0.1 μm or more and less than 3 μm, an average particle diameter (DS) of the composite oxide is present in a range of 1-10 μm, and a value of DS/DP is present in a range of 2-30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
