PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device having high color reproducibility in a simple configuration. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device 10 comprises; color light sources 41, 42 and 43; a liquid crystal display section 60 for controlling transmission or reflection of light from the color light sources; a receiving section 30 for receiving pixel data composed of R color data, G color data and B color data; a correction data generation section 22 for generating corrected R data, corrected G data and corrected B data using at least the R data, the G data and the B data; and a liquid crystal driving section 23 for driving the liquid crystal display section using the corrected R data, the corrected G data and the corrected B data.
