摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved method for producing in high yield a high-purity thiophene polymer having high local regularity and high molecular weight. <P>SOLUTION: The improved method comprises polymerizing a heterocyclic aromatic compound under the formation of aryl-aryl C-C coupling; wherein the compound has at least one halide functional group and at least one boron functional group; wherein the polymerization is conducted in the presence of (a) a catalyst/ligand system comprising a palladium catalyst and an organophosphine or phosphonium compound, (b) a base and (c) a solvent or solvent mixture. In the above case, the halide functional group and the boron functional group are bound to the thiophene or selenophene ring, and the organophosphine or phosphonium compound is a trisubstituted phosphine or phosphonium salt having substituent(s) selected from optionally substituted alkyl and aryl groups. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p>
