<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a microcontroller that attains both reduced power consumption by the stop of an internal clock in a sleep mode and efficient processing by a split operation, without disrupting a bus arbitration operation. <P>SOLUTION: The microcontroller has a bus arbitration block 6A comprising holding circuits 66<SB>1</SB>and 66<SB>2</SB>for holding split signals SPL3 and SPL5 from a slave block 3 and a stop control block 5 even while an internal clock CLK2 is stopped. Even in a sleep state, the bus arbitration block 6A holds split responses from the slave block 3 etc., which are in normal operation. When a wake-up signal WKUP resumes the supply of the internal clock CLK2 to recover a normal operation mode, a split control circuit 63 resumes normal processing according to the contents held in the holding circuits 66<SB>1</SB>and 66<SB>2</SB>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
