PROTEOSOME INFLUENZA VACCINE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vaccine in an improved form which comprises a proteosome acting as a mucosal adjuvant, and a method for producing the vaccine.

SOLUTION: The production method comprises mixing at least one infectious protein antigen and a proteosome preparation in the presence of a surfactant, and removing the surfactant by diafiltration or ultrafiltration, and formulating the mixture into a vaccine wherein the ratio of the infectious protein antigen to the proteosome preparation in the mixture is 2:1 or greater than 2:1. The vaccine produced by the production method, and preferably the vaccine of the influenza including influenza HA is exemplified.
