A fixing apparatus for an image forming apparatus including a fixing roller, a fixing belt moving endlessly while being in contact with an outer surface of the fixing roller, and an anti-serpentine unit selectively in contact with both lateral outer edges of the fixing belt, which biases the fixing belt toward a center of the fixing roller to prevent serpentine movement of the belt. Therefore, it is possible to address serpentine movement of the fixing belt without causing damage to the fixing belt. |
