This invention provides a housing structure for lighting equipment, comprising a molded product having a thickness of 1.5 to 3.5 mm produced from a polycarbonate resin composition containing 20 to 60% by mass of titanium oxide, and a process for producing a housing structure for lighting equipment, comprising subjecting a polycarbonate resin composition containing 20 to 60% by mass of titanium oxide to sheet forming and subjecting the sheet to vacuum forming or pressing to produce a box-type molded product in which a fixed part of a light source end is molded integrally to the side part of the inside. There are also provided a housing for lighting equipment, which is lightweight and requires small man-hour for assemblying, a process for producing the same, a backlight device using the lighting equipment housing, and a liquid crystal display member.
