PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide data transfer constitution suited to data transfer for an integrated media processor chip set for storing various system constitutional elements such as a processor, a data cache, a three-dimensional graphics unit, a memory, and input/output devices. SOLUTION: In an information processing system constituted of a plurality of modules including a processor, a main memory and a plurality of I/O devices, a data transfer switch for performing data transfer operation among the processor, the main memory and the I/O devices comprises a request bus for receiving read/write requests from the plurality of modules and a processor memory bus for receiving addresses and data information. The processor memory bus is provided with a data bus arbiter for receiving the data read/write requests and an internal memory bus is provided with a data bus arbiter.
