PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device in which leakage of light from a backlight does not influence an image in a display screen area of a liquid crystal display panel. SOLUTION: A notched recess 36 is formed in a fitting step portion of a frame 31 at a position opposing to a part where a non-contact state is preferable considering durability of a liquid crystal display device 1. This means the frame 31 is partially not present in the portion of the notched recess 36. An antireflection tape 41 is stuck to an inner side face of a bezel cover 11 opposing to the notched recess 36 of the frame 31. Thus, the light L leaking through a gap C between a main component 33 of the frame 31 and the liquid crystal display panel 2 is diffused or absorbed and prevented from being reflected.
