PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the adhesiveness and durability of a reflection layer and to improve productivity with regard to an optical reflection member in which the reflection layer essentially consisting of Ag is formed on a plastic substrate. SOLUTION: A protective layer comprising an adhesive layer, the reflection layer essentially consisting of Ag and a light transmissive dielectric layer having three or more layers in the order from the substrate side is formed on the surface of the plastic substrate and a mixture layer of aluminum oxide and lanthanum oxide is formed as the outermost layer of the protective layer. From the viewpoint of further preventing the penetration of sulfur etc. into the reflection layer, the mixing proportion of lanthanum oxide in the mixture layer is preferably set to be≥40 mol%. Further, from the viewpoint of improving productivity of the optical reflection member without deteriorating adhesiveness of the reflection layer to the substrate and durability thereof, the protective layer is preferably made to be three-layered, wherein aluminum oxide, silicon oxide or a mixture layer of silicon oxide and aluminum oxide, and the mixture layer of aluminum oxide and lanthanum oxide are formed in the order from the substrate side.
