PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oxide ion conductor high in oxygen ion conductibility and superior in reduction durability, and an oxygen separating film element high in efficiency and superior in durability. SOLUTION: When a cerium oxide doped with Sm or the like exists at the crystal grain boundary or in the grain of La<SB>0.6</SB>Sr<SB>0.4</SB>Ti<SB>0.1</SB>Fe<SB>0.9</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, reduction expansion of the La<SB>0.6</SB>Sr<SB>0.4</SB>Ti<SB>0.1</SB>Fe<SB>0.9</SB>O<SB>3</SB>is suppressed while maintaining oxygen ion conductibility, causing the reduction expansion of an oxygen separation film suppressed. Consequently, the oxygen separating film high in oxygen ion conductibility and superior in reduction durability is obtained, and also the oxygen separating film element high in efficiency and superior in durability can be obtained.
