Disclosed is a method for re-identifying continuously conveyed first (offline video encoded) mailings which cannot be individually identified in an unambiguous fashion, have to be identified specifically for a mailing in order to be sorted, and are placed in at least one first compartment. According to said method, at least one marker element which can be individually identified in an unambiguous manner is added to the compartment when the first mailings are placed therein. In one embodiment of the invention, a marker mailing is used as a marker element by means of a diverted mailing from among second also continuously conveyed (online video encoded) mailings which can be unambiguously identified individually by a machine as opposed to the first (offline video encoded) mailings. |
