The method involves determining an operation value of an operation parameter of a force transmission component in a motor vehicle drive train by using determination devices. A driving torque of the drive train is increased to a maximum torque based on the operation value and driving situation by using control devices that are connected with the determination devices. A rotational speed difference between an input speed and an output speed of a coupling device in the drive train is used as the operation parameter. An independent claim is also included for a control system for torque controlling of a motor vehicle drive train.
