<p>When reducing the captured image for display, display is performed in accordance with the posture of the imaging device when performing imaging, so that it is possible to display a reduced image having a preferable visibility regardless of the imaging posture. Moreover, it is possible to display a longitudinally captured image with a reduction ratio for sufficiently east viewing. A display unit (55) displays an image according to an image signal. An imaging optical system (L) forms an optical image of an object. An imaging unit (4) receives an optical image formed by the imaging optical system and converts the optical image into an electric image signal. A posture detection unit (43) detects a posture of the imaging device upon imaging. A recording unit (12) records the captured image and the posture information on the posture of the imaging device. An image display control unit (13) restores the top-bottom direction of the captured image into the posture of the imaging device upon imaging, cuts out a part of the reduced image of the restored captured image, and causes a display unit to display the cut out image.</p> |
