An online shopping management system is a computer system including at least one server computer (12) . The computer system is provided with software for assisting customers in recording and organizing information pertaining to purchases made by the customers over a global computer network from a plurality of different merchants (18) via a plurality of different websites. An electronic shopping method includes automatically monitoring each screen displayed on a user's computer monitor (16) while the user navigates the World Wide Web, automatically collecting particulars of purchase transactions engaged in by the user, storing in a memory the particulars of the transactions and of multiple-online purchases made by the user, and providing to the user a summary display of collected and stored information pertaining to the online purchases made by the user.
