A motorized pulley (124) is disclosed herein. One embodiment of the pulley comprises a tube (404) having a first end and a second end. A first end cap (410) is located adjacent the first end of the tube, wherein the first end cap comprises at least one air hole (416). A motor (426) is located within the tube, the motor comprises a rotor and a stator (406), wherein the rotor is connected to the tube. A first fan (430) is operatively connected to the tube. A first air path extends from the at least one air hole to the first fan and exits at least one air hole, wherein the first air path contacts the motor.
