<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device that can suppress increase in electric power consumption and prevent generation of flicker and crosstalk. <P>SOLUTION: The device has an effective pixel unit 101 where a plurality of pixel circuits PXLC are disposed in a matrix to write pixel data for an image through TFTs 201, and a vertical driving circuit 102 to apply gate pulses GP1 to GPm to gate lines 104-1 to 104-m arranged in the rows. Upon applying a gate pulse GP, the vertical driving circuit 102 keeps an intermediate voltage Vg for a prescribed time until the voltage of the gate line 104-1 to 104-m reaches a voltage (Vsig+Vth) at which a TFT201 as a pixel transistor is turned off, during a pulse falling period wherein the gate pulse GP shifts from a selected state voltage (power supply potential VVDD) to a non-selected state voltage (Vsig+Vth), and this saturates a transient phenomenon (charge injection). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
