PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish an electric current confinement structure in the laser body without requiring ion radiation and ion implantation. SOLUTION: A laser structure is provided with a substrate (12), vertical structure supported by the substrate and including a laser emission part (110), and conductor (140) electrically connected with the laser emission part. The laser emission part includes an active region (20) and a first current filter layer (100) arranged in the vicinity of the active region.
