PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply measure the number of the articles without causing any error, even when the prescribed number is large, to inspect the articles supplied for package or the like in the prescribed number. SOLUTION: Corrugated board sheets packed in a case are supplied in batch with every of a plurality of sheets, a batch weight▵W of the corrugated board sheets is calculated in every of the batch supply, the calculated batch weight▵W is divided by a preliminarily found average unit weight w of the corrugated board sheets, a rounded integer value of a divided value is made to serve as the sheet number n of the batch-supplied corrugated board sheets, and the number of the corrugated board sheets is measured simply without generating the error to inspect the prescribed number N, without being affected by a dispersion a of the unit weight w, even when the prescribed number N is large, by conforming an integrated valueΣn of the batch-supplied sheet number n of the corrugated board sheets with the prescribed number N.
