PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To let a robot make impressive explanation. SOLUTION: A robot control system 100 controls the robot making explanation. The robot control system 100 includes an audience situation grasping part 102 for grasping the number of audience in the vicinity of robot, an operation pattern storage part 112 for storing a plurality of operation patterns performed by the robot for the audience when the robot explains, an operation pattern selection part 104 for selecting any operation pattern from the operation pattern storage part 112 based on the number of audience grasped by the audience situation grasping part 102, and a line-of-sight motion generation part 108 for deciding operation of the robot and generating line-of-sight motion based on the operation pattern selected by the operation pattern selection part 104.
