PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect the failure of differential mechanisms regarding an electric press machine where a plurality of driving sources cooperatively drive sliders, and also, each driving source has a motor, a screw stem and a nut member. SOLUTION: The electric press machine where a plurality of driving sources cooperatively drive sliders, and a screw stem mechanism and a differential mechanism are comprised correspondingly to each driving source is provided with a microscopic change operation detecting means of detecting the state where the individual differential mechanisms are not correctly operated by a predetermined amount.
